I purchased this for 2 reasons: 1) a cheap pot for brewing beer in, 2) quite a large plate to be used for frying Turkey or shrimp. I have not yet tried cooking but for preparing the beer worked quite well. It's nice and big, so there's a lot of concern by a boil-over. the only downside is that it's a cheaper quality so it loses heat faster. stainless steel would be ideal but much more expensive. Update: I used this pot almost 2 years and it works much better

I bought this pot our tailgate. We usually do a shrimp boil at least once a year. We had a 30 qt pot nearly overflowed, so I thought it was a new pot in order. This thing is huge. We did our normal boiling for 20 people and the pot was barely more than half full. plenty of room for our tailgate to grow. I tried to get a stainless steel pan this dimension where I live with no luck. When I saw this online, I ordered it right away. I already had an aluminum pot that goes black after first use and it was a pain to clean. This dish takes a couple of minutes to clean after use and it looks almost new. I use my pan to fry turkeys, chicken, fish and seafood boil. the quality is great and the oil warms up quickly. the only reason why I gave this product a 4 star rating

I am so glad I switched to this instead the old 24-quart on my electric stove. don't compare even. best part if you measure correctly, you do not need to top your mash in fermentor, because this can hold enough initially.
